Robert Baurley

Rob Baurley is an attorney with one of our litigation teams and brings a solid background in personal injury litigation.

Prior to joining Cerchione Hurowitz Law Group LLP, Rob began his New York Law practice at the Queens County District Attorneys’ Office, where he prosecuted criminal cases involving misdemeanor, felony, and violent felony offenses. During his three years as a prosecutor, he presented evidence-based direct examinations of prosecution witnesses in the grand jury and pre-trial suppression hearings, as well as conducted cross examinations of defendants accused of violent felony offenses.

Upon leaving the DA’s Office, Rob joined a well-known New York City insurance defense firm where he was an Associate in the Casualty Department. Rob defended clients in preventing, mitigating, and managing exposure to liability through risk, crises, claims while litigating these cases. Rob represented individuals who were alleged to have negligently caused the injuries of others.

Rob was selected by the New York Court of Appeals to serve as a 2021 Pro Bono Scholar, where he provided free legal services while working at the Office of the Public Defender in Montgomery County, PA.
